The PIP Guide is currently under review by the Builder Technical Committee, and subsequent working groups and feedback will be submitted to the City of Edmonton on behalf of our members. The PIP Guide is a list of obligations that parties to the project are bound to under codes or bylaws. The permit office will not be reviewing the plan at the permit application stage, but will be receiving a signed commitment from the builder to create the Plan. The Plan itself, will have to be created by the builder as part of their project start up process and will have to be produced if requested by an inspector in the event any questions or issues arise around site safety.
