CHBA – Edmonton Region Partners with Kids Kottage Foundation for Renovation Month
October is Renovation Month in Canada and the Canadian Home Builders’ Association – Edmonton Region (CHBA-ER) is pleased to be taking this opportunity to give back to the local community with a two-day renovation at Kids Kottage Foundation on October 2 and 3, 2019.
The project involved refurbishing high-traffic areas of the facility including significant upgrades to the intake area, outdoor courtyard, and the snoezelen/staff room. While the courtyard gives children a space to play, the snoezelen room is a sensory-calming area with lights and soft toys designed to provide comfort and tranquility.
“We are so honoured to have been chosen as the recipient of this generous gift from CHBA – Edmonton Region,” said Janine Fraser, Executive Director of Kids Kottage Foundation. “It can be a scary process going to a place you aren't familiar with, especially as a child. The renovations will create a warm and comforting space to welcome our children while helping to alleviate some of the anxiety they can experience. We are so thankful for CHBA – Edmonton Region's support, and so incredibly excited to see the beautifully renovated space.”
