Edmonton's Housing Starts Increase in December
January 10, 2012
Edmonton, January 10, 2012 – According to preliminary figures released today by Canada Mortgage
and Housing Corporation (CMHC), housing starts in the Edmonton Census Metropolitan Area (CMA)
increased in December to 691 units compared with 558 in December 2010. To the end of December,
total housing starts reached 9,332 units, down from 9,959 units recorded in all of 2010.
