Cheap Money to Spur Home Sales

The Canadian Real Estate Association said Tuesday it expects 2011 to be a year of rising sales, reversing its previous call on housing sales to slow.

The Ottawa-based industry group, which represents about 100 boards across the country, now says there will be 450,800 sales in 2011 — nearly a 1% increase from a year ago. CREA had been forecasting a decline of 1%.
