Special Conditions for Acceptance of Membership


Membership in the Canadian Home Builders’ Association – Edmonton Region is conditional upon honouring the Code of Ethics (Section 8) and the following conditions as applicable:


Renovators


Renovator applicants are automatically enrolled in the RENOMARKTM Program, (consult fee structure on pg. 2), and must abide by the RENOMARKTM Code of Conduct.


RENOMARKTM Code of Conduct:
  1. Be a member in good standing of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association – Edmonton Region.
    Abide by the Canadian Home Builders’ Association – Edmonton Region Code of Ethics
  2. Provide clients with a detailed, written contract/scope of work for all jobs.
  3. Provide a minimum two (2) year warranty on work (excludes minor home repair).
  4. Carry a minimum of $2 million liability insurance
  5. Have coverage for workplace safety and employers' liability and/or work only with subcontractors who carry such coverage.
  6. Carry all applicable business licenses and permits, as required.
  7. Maintain a professional level of knowledge of current building codes, permit procedures, safety acts and technical skills through continuing education.
  8. Maintain a safe and organized worksite.
  9. Return phone calls within two (2) business days.
